Holland has a rich boatbuilding heritage and the Dutch builder Contest Yachts is celebrating their 50th anniversary with the launch of this striking 57-footer. Designed in response to requests for a smaller version of the Contest 62, this Georg Nissen design features a similar low slung coachroof, flush decks and large windows which bathe the interior in daylight. The spacious cockpit features twin helm stations allowing clear passage from the stern to the interior as well as excellent visibility underway. More and more Contest owners are performance oriented so this boat is relatively lightweight with vacuum infused, sandwich hull construction and a lead keel with bulb.
