There’s still time to check out the two New York-area campuses of Steve and Doris Colgate’s Offshore Sailing School, which are open for the summer season through the end of October 2015.
Sailing lessons, certification courses and club activities are provided at Liberty Landing Marina in Jersey City, New Jersey, and at Pier 25 in New York City. The school uses the award-winning Colgate 26 for lessons and certification courses for beginner to intermediate sailors, as well as the Jeanneau 43-foot monohull for bareboat cruising and chartering courses.
Offshore Sailing School grants certification through the curriculum of U.S. Sailing, the national governing body of the sport.
