Join Cruising World and CW contributor Lexi Fisher this week for a digital adventure across Grenada and her islands. We departed Port Louis Marina in the capital of St. George’s a few days back and explored several secret anchorages and the spice island’s nutmeg and spice agriculture. Our super host and photographer, Lexi, is a Grenadian Canadian and writes the popular Doyle Travel Guides with her partner Chris Doyle. Lexi covers the Atlantic Cruising Rally and other sailing events in the Caribbean, including Grenada Sailing Week. Be sure to check out her social sites @wanderinglexicon and @doyleguides.
Grenada is the southernmost Windward Island and a hurricane haven for many cruisers. Today we set sail for Tyrell Bay, one of our favorite anchorages in Carriacou. Grenada is a tri-island state, consisting of the islands of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique; the island group is affectionately called the sister isles. We have a dive trip planned for tomorrow and a hike into the mountains to a waterfall later in the week. We can’t wait to visit Saline Island, and Le Phare Bleu Marina and the Petite Calivigny Yacht Club. Hop onboard our social media sites and “like” and follow us as we set sail on this tropical adventure.
