Cruising World is working to create a list of reputable charities to help those affected by Hurricane Irma in the Caribbean and Florida. Please consider donating to the disaster response throughout the Caribbean or donate to a specific region.
For those who find themselves near damaged communities and would like to volunteer to help, the National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster, an association of disaster relief groups, is looking for willing volunteers in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands or Florida. You can register to be contacted by relief workers by signing up on the association’s website here. The Red Cross is also helping to coordinate volunteers.
This list will be continually updated.
