Several_ CW_ readers have been, ahem, kind enough to point out that we had a little screw up in the illustration regarding navigation lights in our December issue. Ok, it wasn’t so little; unfortunately, the drawing accompanying the Monthly Maintenance column depicted colored bow lights in reverse of how they should be displayed, and it somehow got past ALL of us here who signed off on the page. On the positive side, it’s clear that our readers overwhelmingly know that red running lights are to port, green are to starboard, a fact they’ve been eager to share. Look for an in-print correction in our next available Mailbag, which will be in the February issue.
