Leukemia Cup Regatta
The Rhode Island Chapter of the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is proud to announce its 18th Annual Leukemia Cup Regatta, setting sail to raise
funds to support blood cancer research and patient services.
This year’s race will be held on June 1st & 2nd at The New York Yacht Club in Newport, RI
The Leukemia Cup Regatta is a thrilling series of sailing events that combines the joy of boating with the important goal of raising money to fight leukemia, lymphoma and other blood cancers. There will be An Evening at Harbour Court, with gourmet hors d’oeuvres, live auction, and music, on Friday June 1st. On
Saturday June 2nd there will be a race with all CR-914 model yachters at 1:00pm. The actual Leukemia Cup begins at noon, followed by an awards BBQ. Each
sailor in the Regatta series is eligible to win prizes including the opportunity to race at the Fantasy Sail on Lake Pontchartrain in New Orleans on December 7-9,
2012, with world-renowned sailor and ESPN commentator Gary Jobson, national Regatta chairman.

participants an opportunity to do something enjoyable while making a critical difference in the lives of patients and their families,” said Bill Koconis, Chapter ED.
