For the very first time at the BOOT Düsseldorf, Wauquiez and Latitude 46 shipyards presented their newest boats, the Pilot Saloon 58 and the Tofinou 10.c, in front of an international audience.
These two boats can still be seen at the BOOT Düsseldorf : the Pilot Saloon 58 at stand B57, Hall 16 and the Tofinou 10.C at stand C38, Hall 16.
The Pilot Saloon 58: a genuine deck saloon
Since 1965, Wauquiez has been building modern ocean going sailing yachts with comfort, elegance and superb finish amongst their many assets. The manufacturing of a Wauquiez yacht is a perfect combination of proven modern technologies coupled with the traditional values of boatbuilding.
Following on from the success of the 48 model launched in September 2015, the 58 has been added to the Pilot Saloon range. The “Pilot Saloon” concept introduced by Henri Wauquiez more than twenty years ago now has not aged one bit, continuing to appeal to sailors looking for a yacht that adapts to all sailing programmes, offering comfort, luminosity and high performance.
A perfect blue water cruiser, the Pilot Saloon 58 is the quintessence of Wauquiez’ expertise in terms of conception and high-end yacht building. The large side windows underlined with a natural teak louver – a trademark of the “Pilot Saloon” range – have been extended at the aft to optimize visibility and brightness aboard.
True to the genuine ‘’deck saloon concept’’, the saloon of the Pilot Saloon 58 is on one single level, offering maximum comfort for your cruises. The galley, located to the port, features a number of storage facilities. The interior volumes have been optimized to offer amazingly comfortable living spaces. Very large hull portholes bring luminosity, and wide opening portholes allow for great cabin ventilation.
According to Olivier Racoupeau from Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design, the architect of the boat : “The Pilot Saloon 58 is the opposite of a pointless boat, she is a sailor boat. Protective, she is really build for sailing including in tough seas.”

PRESENTATION TOFINOU 10.C
The Tofinou 10.c: a cruise-focused programme
The Tofinou 7, Latitude 46 shipyard’s legendary boat, gave rise to a modern range of classic Day Boats that cover the oceans of the world, with more than 420 units built.
Today, the Latitude 46 shipyard has taken the spirit of its first yacht in the cruise ship range, the Tadorne, to develop a new line of cruising yacht. The Tofinou 10.c is the very first unit in the range.
Its length of 10 metres, as indicated by its name the Tofinou 10.c, makes it ideal for family life on board for coastal cruises, in particular thanks to its liveaboard cabin with headroom height of 1m75; a new feature compared to older versions of the Tofinou.
With a slightly higher, 3,20m wide freeboard, in line with its new programme, the Tofinou 10.c retains the spirit of the Tofinou range, especially as its identity is designed by Joubert-Nivelt, as for the rest of the range.
It’s principal assets include a coloured hull, teak deck, varnished mahogany coaming – the brand’s signature product, top quality fittings and a quest for maximum comfort, performance and ease for navigating alone or with a small crew.
The interior is dominated by a contemporary, loft-style spirit, with a teak-furnished area containing a double berth, saloon table, proper galley and bathroom. This is complemented by an aft cabin for children, grandchildren or guests and a comfortable technical area, housing the different navigation modes, with water heater, electrical system and battery charger.
