Boat Owners Association of The United States (BoatU.S.) announced today that more than 700 marinas across the country now participate in the BoatU.S. Cooperating Marina Program. The program makes boating more affordable by offering substantial discounts on fuel, transient slips and repairs.
“One of the programs most sought after benefits is the great fuel discount; over 300 BoatU.S. Cooperating Marinas give boaters up to 10 cents off a gallon,” said Jim Schofield, manager of the BoatU.S. Cooperating Marina Program. “One fillup alone could save a boater more than the $19 annual BoatU.S. membership fee.”
“And if youre planning your summer vacation now, over 400 Cooperating Marinas offer up to 25% off their regular transient slip rates,” said Schofield. Additionally, over 240 marinas offer up to 15% off parts and labor.
