Atlantic Rally for Cruisers Registration
For sailors pondering a transatlantic crossing, the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers has just opened entry registration for its 2013 event. The ARC leaves late each fall from Las Palmas in the Canary Islands, bound for St. Lucia in the Caribbean.
This year’s ARC was fully booked last February. The fleet of 230 sailboats is due to depart November 25.
Organizers say the next World ARC rally, which departs from St. Lucia in January, 2014, is also attracting lots of attention. The rally will last 15 months and cover 26,000 miles.
