Finngulf has turned to Farr Yacht Design for the latest model in its Performance Yacht line. A little more slender than some contemporary designs, The Finngulf 43 is intended to offer exciting sailing, as well as compete under IRC and other ratings, and it fits the current idiom right down to the open transom and knife-blade rudder. The two-spreader fractional rig is set up for masthead spinnakers and the deck plan shows primary and secondary winches, twin helms, and a cockpit sole-mounted traveler.
Two interiors are offered, one trimmed in traditional teak, the other in up-to-the-minute lighter colors and lighter materials. The arrangement is cleanly laid out and functional, sparse rather than Spartan, and provides all necessary amenities plus the luxury of two heads. From the mast forward is all the owner’s stateroom, save for where a deck locker occupies the very bow.
