Hallberg-Rassy knows better than to ditch a good design when a long list of mods from major to minor will bring it completely up to date. Hence, the HR 43’s proven hull receives a total deck lift to soften its looks, sweeten its functionality, and coddle its crew even more. The new deck is molded with bigger corner radii and with lowered hatch bases, while new winch platforms ease the ergonomics of grinding and redesigned coamings add comfort in the cockpit. A taller mast carries a larger mainsail while the fore triangle becomes fractional, bringing added stability to the rig and simplifying sail trim.
Numerous improvements belowdecks enhance both long-range capabilities (bigger batteries and more efficient fridge) and small-scale convenience (more bookshelves, more galley work surface, comfier nav seat).
