The sailing world’s appetite for Oysters is seemingly insatiable. Like their bivalve namesakes, they are tough on the outside are considered a luxury. There the simile ends, as the Oyster 525, which follows the tradition in those respects, is not designed to sieve the water in one bay all its life but to ply the world oceans. To that end, it is provided with enough displacement to carry as many options as an owner desires, so many, in fact, that Oyster is unable to furnish a complete list.
Essentially, the interior is divided to provide a full stateroom, with ensuite facilities, at each end, a large dining and lounging area under the raised roof, and a galley and chart table either side of the machinery space under the cockpit. However, variations on this theme are entertained and are, according to the company, “limitless.”
