“The Voyage 580 is a boat thats just such a pleasure to be on in so many ways,” said BOTY judge Carol Hasse. “All the lines that led aft were great.” The judges particularly liked seeing a dedicated winch for the mainsheet, not to mention the fact that the mainsheet wasnt run through a rope clutch, as they are on so many multihulls. From deck layout to glasswork to systems installations, she took the prize. BOTY judge Skip Moyer described the boat underway as “fast, smooth, and quiet.” Said BOTY judge Ralph Naranjo, “All in all, for $800,000 you should get one hell of a boat. And she is.”
