Southerly Yachts — now a part of the Discovery Group — is set to launch a Dubois-designed 54-footer for shorthanded crews embarking on long-distance voyages. Like other Southerlys, which range from 33 to 59 feet, the 540 features a lifting keel and double headsails, including a self-tending jib, which provides a versatile sail plan.
