The 38th Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival weekend kicks off with an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend the day with Steve Callahan and Lin and Larry Pardey! This one-day seminar, which takes place on Thursday, September 4, 2014, is meant to inspire, educate and engage you through the amazing lives, stories, and combined experience of these superstars of the boating world. The Port Townsend (Washington) Wooden Boat Festival runs September 5 through 7.
Steve Callahan, survivor and author of Adrift, 76 Days Lost at Sea, and technical director for the Life of Pi movie joins Lin and Larry Pardey, two of the world’s most well-known sailors and authors, for a full day of classes.
Steve starts out the day with his “Aquatic Caveman” presentation at 9:30 am, followed by Lin and Larry Pardey presenting “Storm Tactics.”
In the afternoon both Callahan and the Pardeys will share “The Adventures That Shaped Our Lives.” The day will wrap up with a lively roundtable discussion and Q&A session with all three presenters led by Practical Sailor‘s Darrell Nicholson.
