We are excited to announce that voting is open for the 2016 Old Pulteney Maritime Heroes Award, which recognizes those who are making significant contributions to volunteer, educate, advocate or simply encourage others to explore the world of sailing. This year, for the first time, winners will receive a $5,000 grant to continue their efforts within the sailing community in addition to being honored at the Sailing Leadership Forum 2016, hosted by US Sailing.
This year’s nominees include an inspiring group of do-gooders, including:

- Steve Maddox, Essex, MD
- Judy McLennan, Portsmouth, RI
- John Arndt, San Anselmo,CA
- Mary Hoffman, Galesville, MD and Henderson Harbor, NY
- Branson Rector, Miami, FL
The winner will be determined by public vote from December 7-22, 2015.
